Christmas & New Year Fun
A Happy New Year to you all and I hope 2010 will be a great year for flying.
The Christmas/New Year break brought some snow and frost and with it a lot of good flying weather. We got a number of days flying here are some pictures to look at.
Eflite Diamante 25e
The Eflite Diamante 25e is an electric aerobatic model designed by TOC pilot Peter Goldsmith. It is a "normal" sized low wing aeroplane, with 48" Wingspan and required a 4s Lipo Setup. I'm also using Eflite's Power32 motor and Castle Creations 60amp ESC, couple this Spektrum's new Mini Servos, 2048 Resolution Receiver AR7600 and DX7SE, it should make for a fast, agile and precision aeroplane. This is another great aeroplane supplied by Horizon Hobby UK, all the equipment is available from any good model shop. Below is a quick building & flying review.
Eflite Stearman PT-17 15e
The Eflite Stearman is a well detailed Scale model in the world famous US Army Stearman Scheme. It is a small electric for 3s 3200mah lipo's, I'm using Eflite Power 15 and their 40Amp ESC for power, Scanner RC mini metal gear servos, a Spektrum AR7000 for the Receiver, with large wing area it flys really well and slows up beautifully on approach so can be operated from small field with ease.
